St Albans Council To Challenge Freight Interchange Rejection

14 April 2015, 06:45

St Albans Council has decided to appeal a decision against planning permission for a rail freight interchange at Park Street.

The Communities Secretary turned it down, then High Court said he was right last month.

The council has now decided to go to the Court of Appeal.

A council spokesperson told Heart yesterday: "The Council had until today (13 April 2015) to decide whether it wished to apply for permission to appeal from the Court of Appeal.

"Following consultation with its external legal advisors on grounds for appeal, the Council has decided to seek such permission."
