Station Embrace Film Heritage

Improvements to the Railway Station at Elstree and Borehamwood are finally complete and include features that embrace the towns TV and film heritage.

The improvements have cost nearly one million pounds.

Elstree & Borehamwood Station StarFirst Capital Connect told Heart it was important for them to not only make the station modern and practical but to include personal references to the towns.

The work has taken months to complete but the official opening took place yesterday

Passengers can now enjoy film star paving stones with the names of Harrison Ford, Jim Henson and Sean Connery

There is also a sculpture of a filmstrip and wall art.

Other finishing touches include extra cycle parking and wall plaque.
