Stranger Found In St Albans Home

Someone has got home in St Albans and found a woman in their house.

The offence occurred on Sunday, May 10 between 4.50pm and 4.59pm in Warren Road.

The occupants of the house were in the garden when one of them returned to the house to find a woman inside. When challenged, the woman said she was looking for her cat. She then ran off. No items were taken.

It is believed she had gained entry to their house through a side door.

The woman is described as white, aged 18 to 20, between 5ft 3in and 5ft 4ins tall, with a slim build. She had short, very dark hair and was wearing a jacket with floral patterned top underneath and short jeans to below the knee. She spoke with a southern Irish accent.

Detective Constable Kieran Doyle from the specialist unit Operation Manhunt said: "The victim has assisted police with creating this e-fit of the suspect, which we are releasing to help the investigation. I'd urge anyone who may recognise this face or the description of the man given, to contact police immediately."
