Three Arrested After School Arson
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident of arson at Micklem JMI School on Boxted Road, Hemel Hempstead.
The incident took place between 4.30am and 5.45am on Thursday, June 23, when offenders are alleged to have set fire to a portacabin on the school site.
Significant damage was caused to the portacabin.
Investigating officer, PC Mhari Adams, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and witnessed anything suspicious to get in touch. I’d also be interested to speak to anyone who may have further information about this crime.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Adams on the non-emergency number 0845 3300 222 citing crime reference number D1/11/4512. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
A 17-year-old boy from Tring, a 16-year-old boy from Hemel Hempstead and a 15-year-old boy from Tring were arrested in connection with the incident. They have been released on bail and are due to return to Hemel Hempstead police station on August 15.
