2 February 2014, 12:43

Drivers in Watford town centre have been warned one the main routes to the ring road remains shut this afternoon (Sunday) - due to flooding.

Lower High Street remains shut southbound in the one-way system from the A411 Waterfield Way to the Pinner Road gyratory (railway arches roundabout).

A diversion in operation - for bus routes 142 and 258, via the A41 and back to Bushey (over three miles).

For cars, the road is closed because of flooding on the one way section of the Lower High Street behind B&Q.

The Environment Agency says it's the SECOND HIGHEST flood warning which remains in place for the River Colne through Watford.

A lower flood alert is in place for Aldenham, London Colney, Maple Cross and Rickmansworth.
