Woman airlifted to hospital after hit by car

A woman was airlifted to hospital with head and chest injuries after behing hit by a car in Hemel Hempstead this morning (Tuesday February 15th).

She was near the ski centre in St Albans Hill at around 9am when she was struck by a black Chrysler Voyager.

An air ambulance was called and took her to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.

Pc Mike Woods is investigating and said: "We believe a woman stopped at the scene before officers from roads traffic policing arrived and we would like to trace this person. I am also keen to speak with anyone else who witnessed the collision or who has any information which would assist the investigation."
