Watford FC Fans In Court For Football Disturbance

Twelve men - including seven from Hertfordshire - have appeared in court charged with football related disorder.

It is in connection with disorder which occurred in Watford prior to, and after, the Watford FC v Bolton Wanderers football match in August 2014.

The men were arrested in August following the disorder which involved a large group of people in Market Street on Saturday, August 9th.

They attended a plea hearing at St Albans Crown Court on Wednesday (May 13) and the following men pleaded guilty to affray:
"    Tommy Cochrane, aged 18 and of Heysham Drive, Watford
"    Joseph Griffiths, aged 30 and of Theobald Street, Borehamwood
"    Darren O'Brien, aged 24 and of On The Hill, Watford
"    Jordan Johnson, aged 22 and of Jethro Street, Bolton
"    Stuart Burton, aged 49 and of Freshfield Avenue, Bolton

The following men entered a not guilty plea and will stand trial on October 12:
"    Jake Farquharson, aged 19 and of Russell Court, Bricket Wood
"    Marcus Page, aged 20 and of The Mead, Watford
"    Christopher Smith, aged 24 and of Milton Road, Radcliffe, Bury
"    Phillip Hales, aged 41 and of Devon Close, Little Lever, Bolton
"    Ryan Perry, aged 24 and of Church Road, Watford
"    Ashley Lowe, aged 27 and of Homasson Close, Bolton
"    Andrew Walter, aged 29 and of Langley Road, Watford

The men who pleaded guilty will be sentenced after the trial in October.
