Appeal for Absconder

Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace Darren Abraham, aged 31, who is now wanted for recall to prison having breached the strict conditions of his parole licence.

Abraham, who was released on licence on Friday 30 October 2008 due to his violent criminal history, has absconded from his designated address in the Sandwell area.

Abraham, who is originally from Wednesbury, is also known as Checka by his friends and family.

Police are concerned due to Abraham’s violent history he may be a potential danger to the public and could commit further offences. A picture of him has been released.

He has connections with the Black Country, Birmingham and Telford areas, but he could currently be anywhere in the UK.

He is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall and of medium build. He has blue eyes and short brown hair.

He has a tattoo on his right arm of a scroll with a swallow in a heart and a tattoo of a bull dog wearing boxing gloves on his left arm. He also has a scar in the centre of his forehead.

Abraham is urged to hand himself in at his nearest police station.

Anyone with information about him, or who sees a man matching his description, is asked not to approach him but to contact police immediately by dialling 999.
