Christina Edkins Memorial Run

A charity run for a teenager who was stabbed in Birmingham is being held.

Christina Edkins was killed on a bus on the Hagley Road in Birmingham City Centre a month ago as she travelled to Leasowes School in Halesowen.

Now her school friends have organised a 3 mile memorial run at Leasowes Park on the 7th April.

They hope to raise enough money to buy a bench dedicated to Christina in Birmingham.

Organiser John Kelley spoke to us before the run:

"She never hurt anyone, she always thought about other people before herself. She didn't deserve (to be killed) at all. It's happened to such an amazing person. You could see the amount of people at her funeral. It was just phenomenal."
