Debt in the West Midlands

The West Midlands has one of the highest personal debts per person in the country by the time they retire.

The results of a new study by Money Net have shown that in this region a retired person has nearly 10 thousand pounds worth of personal debt - which is 15 percent higher than the national average.

The debt includes credit cards and loans and not mortgages.

More than 178 thousand pensioners in the UK owe more than 100 thousand pounds.

If you are worried about debt you can contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau for help and advice about how to reduce debts.
