An investigation has been launched after a worker at Jaguar Land Rover In Solihull died on Sunday.

A Jaguar Land Rover worker has died after being injured at their Lode Lane site in Solihull.

Ambulance crews were called on Sunday afternoon when they took over CPR from his colleagues but couldn't save the man.

The company say there is an investigation and their thoughts are with his friends and family.

In a statement Jaguar Land Rover told Heart: "We are deeply saddened about the death of one of our colleagues and our thoughts are with the individual's family and friends at this difficult time."

"An investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding this incident and we are of course cooperating fully with the authorities involved. We have nothing further to add at this time."

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “The ambulance service arrived to find Jaguar Land Rover staff administering CPR to a man who had been injured and was in cardiac arrest.

“Ambulance staff and the medics took over advanced life support but sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone on scene, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead a short time later.”
