Nelson Mandela School Remembers

People from around the world have been reacting to the death of Nelson Mandela

South Africa's first black President visited the West Midlands in 1993.

During the visit he made a speech thanking the people of Birmingham for their support and also went to the Nelson Mandela Primary school in the city.

In a statement on it's website the school said ' Our Dear Nelson Mandela dies, our thoughts go to the family of Nelson Mandela. This is such sad news and we will hold his values of respect and fairness close to our hearts.'

You can see photographs and press cuttings from that trip on the school's website by CLICKING HERE.
