New scheme to help young victims

A pioneering new scheme is being launched in Warwickshire on the 29th of March to help young victims of violent crimes.

Motivational workshops are taking place in Rugby to help these youngsters regain their confidence and re-build their self esteem and deal with the sometimes traumatic experience they've gone through.

Heather Shilling who's running the event told Heart if successful this could be rolled out across the UK.

"If this kind of work was accepted as normal so that victims of crime are offered something that's going to help them put their lives back on track."

"If parents of victims want support - and canme forward and if we could find the funding - then we will try to meet that need"
