Police in Birmingham have released images of three young men they would like to speak to after a teenage girl was assaulted after getting off a bus.

The 16-year-old was with a friend on the number 50 bus from Kings Heath High Street to Balsall Heath on Tuesday 24 June shortly before 5pm.

Three young men got off the bus at the same stop as the girls on Moseley Road and after the girls ignored their attempts at conversation, one of the men punched the girl in the face, spat at her and stole her headphones. The three then made off back towards the Kings Heath area.

DC Michelle Beasley is investigating the assault. She said: "This was an unprovoked attack on a young girl and her friend which left them feeling threatened and vulnerable.

"I would like anyone who recognises the men to contact me on 101."
