West Midlands Counter Terror Police have been granted more time to question a man on suspicion of terror offences.
Man In Court Over Mormon Attack In Solihull
A man will appear in court this morning charged in connection with an attack on Mormon Bishop, David Charmbury last weekend.
Harley Heyes, 36 of Bluebell Drive, Chelmsley Wood, was charged this morning with assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent, taking a vehicle by force and having no insurance.
Heyes will appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
Mr Charmbury, aged 45, was attacked as he opened up his church in Clopton Crescent at around 9am on Sunday 16 August. He suffered serious head injuries and his Mazda CX5 Sport car was stolen, the car was found nearby a short time later.
The 45-year-old man suffered serious head injuries as he was attacked by robbers, who then stole his Mazda CX5 Sport car.
He was found by a passer-by in the road and remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.
The car was recovered a short time later on nearby Starling Grove.
