Police Investigate Coventry Teenager's Suicide Attempt
Police have told Heart they're investigating after a Coventry teenager tried to take his own life.
16-year-old Bradley Parkes was found hanging in woodland on Thursday 22nd April in Willenhall.
He is now in a coma, fighting for his life at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Messages written by family and friends on Facebook claim he had been bullied in the months before by a gang.
Detective Chief Inspector Helen Kirkman, from Coventry Police, said: "Our thoughts are with the boy, his family and friends at this time following this terrible event.
"My officers remain in contact with the family as part of the investigation and to support them at this time.
"We recognise this is an emotive time for the school and the community. We are committed to finding out what may have led up to the boy taking such a sad decision and we continue to investigate offences that may have been committed against him."
She continued: "Anyone who may have any information that may assist our investigation should call us on 101.
"Additional patrols are being carried out in the Willenhall area and we are working very closely with the school."
He was only charged with the offence in 2001 last year
