Police Reveal Birmingham Student Died From Gunshot Wound
Police investigating the death of a Birmingham teenager say he died as a result of a gunshot wound to the stomach.
19-year-old Connor Smith was shot in Forde Way Gardens in Hawkesley around 11.30pm on Thursday night.
Officers were called to the scene where they found the student lying injured. He died a short time later.
Detective Inspector Warren Hines, who is leading the investigation said: 'We are continuing today to make enquiries to locate the person or persons responsible for Connor's death. It is horrific that such a young man lost his life and I would urge anyone with information about his death to come forward'.
Specialist officers are supporting his family.
