Rugby Shooting: Two Arrested After Man Dies From Gunshot Wounds

A murder investigation's begun after a man was found shot dead in a car in Warwickshire.

The victim was discovered in an abandoned vehicle in Newton near Rugby just before midday.

Two people have been arrested.

The man who has not been named was pronounced dead at the scene on Newton Road.

Warwickshire Police said one car left the road while two vehicles were seen making off along Newton Road towards Newton Village and the A5.

The two vehicles seen leaving the scene are described as being a silver hatchback and a maroon or red, metallic-coloured car.

Witnesses who may have seen or heard these vehicles in the area around the time of the incident are urged to contact the police.
