A man from Stourbridge has been jailed for 6 years and 8 months after pleading guilty to the rape of a 14-year-old girl and sexually assaulting another girl who is 13-years-old
Saham Amin, aged 21, preyed on the eldest girl for around a year before the assault, when they came into contact through a mutual friend.
On 24 September 2014, Amin sent her a text asking if she wanted to come round to his house for a "drinking session".
The 14-year-old and the younger teen, then visited Amin’s house, where they were plied with two thirds of a litre bottle of vodka and cigarettes.
Amin, who had been drinking earlier that day, then sexually assaulted the younger girl before raping the older one.
After initially denying the allegations, the former factory worker pleaded gulity when medical evidence and the girls’ testimonies against him were produced.
Mr Amin, of Balds Lane, Lye, was jailed at Wolverhampton Crown court today
Detective Sergeant Kay Redfern from the forces public protection unit said: "This was a complex case involving two very scared girls and - as with most victims of child sexual exploitation - they were reluctant to give details at first as they were fearful of repercussions.
"I would like to thank them for their bravery and I hope this sentence goes some way in helping them move forward with their young lives.
"We are satisfied with the sentence handed to Amin, which sees him taken out of the community for a considerable time and unable to exploit other young girls.
"Sexual abuse is an abhorrent crime which we are committed to stamping out. We hope this case shows that we take all reports of child sexual exploitation extremely seriously, giving other victims the confidence to come forward, safe in the knowledge they will be listened to, supported and protected from future abuse."
