Spanning approximately a mile, the Christmas Markets run from Centenary Square, through Victoria Square to the bottom of New Street.
The Frankfurt Christmas Market is firmly established as a flagship event for the festive season, it has swelled in both size and popularity making it one of the largest authentic German Markets outside of Germany. Organised by Birmingham City Council in partnership with Frankfurt Tourism and Congress, the Frankfurt Market is located in Victoria Square and New St. From beautiful Christmas decorations; handcrafted jewellery; delicious German treats to carved wooden toys; German beer; pretzels and more, the Frankfurt Market has something for everyone. The stallholders are from Germany and many of them have stalls in Frankfurt and other German cities, as well as in Birmingham.
Make sure you check out all the festivities for German Week from 17-24 November here celebrating 50 years of partnership between Frankfurt and Birmingham cities .
This year the Christmas Craft Market will be in Centenary Square only, due to the development of Paradise. The market offers handmade crafts, soaps and candles by local artisans and a wealth of unique and quirky items. Visitors can also enjoy traditional mouth-watering treats including locally produced traditional roast dinners with homemade chutneys and mustards, an assortment of sweet treats, mulled cider, winter Pimm’s and locally brewed real ales.
Complementing the Christmas Craft Market , Centenary Square will once again feature an Ice Rink and Big Wheel making Birmingham City Centre the only destination for a festive fun filled family day out.
