Arrests after sudden death

Two men have been arrested after a sudden death in Swindon. At approximately 11:00 pm on Monday 29th March 2010, Police and Paramedics were called to an address in Mason Road in relation to a possible drugs overdose.

A 39 year old local man, who has been identified as Simon James, was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon, where he subsequently died just after 9:30 this morning.

Next of kin have been informed and we will be providing them our utmost support. A Home Office Pathologist has been contacted and is working with Police forensic investigators to establish the cause of death.  Two local men aged 36 and 38 years have been arrested on suspicion of Manslaughter and are currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station, Swindon.
