Charity Run At Stonehenge For Wiltshire Wildlife Trust

Runners, Walkers and Cyclists are being encouraged to join a series of events which will help the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.

The Sarsen Trial and Neolithic Marathon will take place on 5th May 2013 to mark the charities 25th anniversary.

People can run full or half marathons, walks which vary in length from 7 miles to 26 miles and two bike routes of either 30km or 50km and which both start and end at Stonehenge.

The money raised is going to help conservation projects that the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust carry out.

Organiser Derek Gard said:

'This is a rare opportunity for people to access an area which is usually closed to the public and to enjoy this spectacular landscape.

'I am also pleased to say that we have been given permission to take this year's cycling route through the Salisbury Plain.

'We had over 2,300 people taking part last year and I expect this year will be no exception. The marathon places are limited and in our 25th year we expect a record attendance, so I urge people to sign up as soon as possible.'

Entry fees cover the trust's costs for organising the vent and more funds can be raised for Wiltshire Wildlife Trust through individual sponsorship. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of £50.
