Council Leader talks of Holocaust

Swindon Borough Council leader Roderick Bluh tells Heart about how the Holocaust is affecting his life 70 years on.

27th January marks Holocaust Memorial Day.  It's the day the victims of the Holocaust are especially remembered and there'll be several events across Swindon to mark the day.  The day marks the date when the Auschwitz concentration camps were liberated in 1945.

One of those who lost family members in the Holocaust is Swindon Borough Council Leader Roderick Bluh.  He said: "My father only just escaped the holocaust, but many members of our family didn't.  I am proud that Swindon has marked this day for the past 9 years - the event is so important in reminding future generations of horros that must never be repeated."
