Detectives investigating the murder of a Wiltshire man have released CCTV of two people they would like to speak to.

Paul Garland was found unconscious early on New Year's Day after being assaulted in the car park of the New Inn, Amesbury.

Despite efforts to resuscitate him he sadly died from his injuries.

A CCTV image of a woman wearing a green dress who was captured walking along Salisbury Street in Amesbury outside The Bell public house at 3:16 am on New Year's Day is attached.

These people may have important information to assist with the case.

Detective Chief Inspector Sean Memory said: "These two people may have vital information which will help us further piece together the events of that night. I would urge them or anyone who knows their identity to contact me.

"I would also like to appeal for anyone who has information regarding this incident or who was in the area of the New Inn between 1:00 and 4:00 am on New Year's Day and has not yet come forward to make contact.

"I can assure all callers that their information will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence."

Police have charged 21 year old Daryl Talbot, from Larkhill, with murder. He has been granted bail to an address outside of the county. He is due to appear at court on 11th April 2011.
