Dreaming of the Olympics

A teenager has been telling Heart she is giving up her social life to make sure she gets to the London Olympics.

17 year old Jade Faulkner, from Swindon, has been picked for the Rhythmic Gymnastics training team for the 2012 games.

The Cirencester College student will be taking a year out from her studies and moving to Bath next month to begin 42 hours of training a week, so she can impress the selectors who will choose the final team for the Olympics in January.

But her dream of representing Team GB comes at a price, as Jade has to fund all of her training, kit and competition travelling herself, as she does not get any funding.

Jade is looking for sponsors to help her fund the next year, with the hope she can appear at the biggest sporting event on the planet.
