Swindon police look into threatening behaviour

Wiltshire Police are appealing for assistance in identifying the man pictured in connection with an incident of threatening behaviour in Swindon.

At approximately 8pm on Thursday 12th January 2012, a woman in Kimmeridge Close, Nythe, opened her front door; as she did so, a man ran towards her. Fortunately she was able to shut the door before the man reached her. However, he remained outside the property and threatened her before leaving the scene.

The suspect is described as white, 5?9? tall, aged in his late 40s/early 50s, of medium build with rough wrinkled skin and missing teeth. He was wearing dark coloured denim jeans, a black coat with the hood up and a woollen hat.

The victim was understandably left very distressed by this incident.

Anyone who recognises the man in the attached image or has any other information in relation to this incident is asked to contact PC Jack Newman at Gablecross Police Station on 101. Alternatively they can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information may be left anonymously if preferred.
