Swindon's new birth centre

A fundraising campaign has been launched to kit out a brand new maternity unit at Swindon's Great Western hospital.

The midwife-led centre will be up an running in February and will look after around 1,000 mums a year who have low risk births.

Before that the hospital has launched a campaign to raise £50,000 to kit it out with things like special birth matresses, instead of beds and furniture.
