Trowbridge: Man Suffers Fractured Skull

Police say a 24 year old sustained a bleed to the brain and a fractured skull after he was 'punched to the face' in Trowbridge.

Officers say it happened between 8.30pm and 8.45pm on Friday 16th January 2015 on Kitcheners Court, Hill Street, Trowbridge.

They say a 24 year-old local man was "punched to the face causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head."

He sustained a bleed to the brain and a fractured skull. He is currently being treated at Southmead hospital in Bristol and on Sunday was described as being in a serious but stable condition.

A 17 year-old boy - also from Trowbridge - was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who was near to Kitcheners Court on Friday night - Anyone with information is asked to contact Trowbridge CID via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information may be left anonymously.
