Swindon: Armed Robbery At Bookies

A replica firearm believed to be connected to this morning's armed robbery at a Swindon bookmakers has been recovered by police.

The weapon was found inside a bag on Bridge Street in the town. 

A 25 year old man from Swindon has been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery after handing himself at Bath police station this afternoon. 

The man handed himself in at around 1pm and is now expected to be transferred to Swindon Gablecross police station for questioning.
