Wiltshire Search and Rescue

Last year the Wiltshire Search and Rescue team was called out 42 times. They support police when a child, pensioner or other vulnerable people go missing. But they say they need another 10 more volunteers at least to be affective .. an open evening is being held in Devizes tonight

The team mostly goes out looking for missing people on foot, but they also have a kayak capability for searching water-ways, an operational mountain bike unit and a trainee search and rescue dog.

Full training is provided.
