Dodgy accents and sitcom auditions
28th November: You know that thing where you go somewhere new and accidentally (immediately) pick up the accent?
No? Just me then.
Actually, it would appear not. Because footballer Joey Barton has recently been in that exact situation. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a football fan and don't pretend to know anything about it, but this particular nugget of football TV caught my attention. Mainly because it seems I've finally found someone who is more fickle with accents than myself.

But after moving to a new, French football team, it looks like Joey's experienced that thing where your accent goes a bit confused. Here he is at a press conference earlier this week, in front of a room of French journalists:

Bless him.
If the football doesn't work out, there's definitely a future career ahead of him in a different field. They just need to bring back a certain sitcom...
