Olive Kitteridge

Every town has its secrets and lies and this new drama from Sky Atlantic revels in uncovering all the dirty laundry.

Oscar® winner Frances McDormand (Fargo) stars as the titular character in this HBO mini-series.

sky atlanticDirected by Oscar® nominee Lisa Cholodenko (The Kids Are All Right), executive produced by Tom Hanks and based on the Pulitzer Prizewinning novel by Elizabeth Strout, the four-parter tells the story of a seemingly placid New England town wrought with illicit affairs, crime and tragedy, as seen through the eyes of middle-school teacher Olive.

Spanning 25 years, the series focuses on the witty but troubled Olive and her relationships with her husband (Richard Jenkins, Six Feet Under) and son (John Gallagher Jr, The Newsroom), while chronicling how her abrasive manner impacts others around her.

Bill Murray (Lost in Translation), Peter Mullan (Top of the Lake) and Jesse Plemons (Breaking Bad) also feature in the top-notch cast.
