The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are set to be the greatest show on earth, and someone special from your local community could be up for a once in a lifetime experience… the chance to be an Olympic Torchbearer.

As National Presenting Partner of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay,
Lloyds TSB is bringing the excitement of the Games closer to you by offering Torchbearer places for listeners of Heart FM.

You can nominate someone who has made a difference in your local community to carry the Lloyds Olympic logo
Olympic Torch.

Maybe it’s a member of your family who has inspired you to be the best you can be, someone who ran a marathon to raise money for charity, or someone who brings opportunities to young or disadvantaged people.

How to nominate
To nominate someone who you think deserves to be an Olympic Torchbearer in next year’s London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, all you have to do is click here and enter the code HEART,  the details of your nominee, and then tell us about the difference they have made in their community. Your chosen nominee will be sent an email confirmation advising them to accept the nomination – make sure you tell them to accept your nomination.

Once accepted, the entry will be published onto www.lloydstsb.com/carrytheflame for you to share with everybody!

  • Lloyds TSB is the promoter.
  • Nominations close on 12th September 2011.
  • There are 8 Torchbearer slots available to people nominated under the Heart keyword. Please note, anyone nominated (‘nominee’) under the Heart keyword is not eligible to be considered for any of the 800 Bank Torchbearer slots available.
  • Nominators and nominees must be 12 years or over. If a nominee under 18 is chosen to take part a parent or guardian must sign a consent form in order to participate.
  • Prizes will not be transferred under any circumstances.
  • Torchbearers will be selected by a selection panel chosen by Heart FM.
  • Participation in the Olympic Torch Relay ("Relay") is subject to LOCOG approval.
  • Nominators and Nominees agree to publicity in connection with their participation in the Relay.
