Fire disrupts Kellogg's production line

Cereal company Kellogg's say they'll be no more production of their "Elevenses" snack bar on Friday after a fire at their factory in Wrexham.

The production line that makes the cereal bar was shut until Saturday morning after a fire in a 60 metre long oven there.

Fire crews say three engines were called to the Wrexham Industrial Estate to deal with it but nobody was hurt.

A deep clean will now take place on the "Elevenses" production line through Friday afternoon.

A spokeswoman for Kellogg's said:

"The fire wasn't very big but there was plenty of smoke and fumes - we didn't have to mobilise our crisis teams.

"There will be no more production on that line until tomorrow morning but other than that it's business as usual."
