Investigation to start into Buckley fire

Investigation teams will now start to look into what caused a huge fire at a recycling plant in North Wales.

They were called to the Spencer Industrial Estate in Buckley on Sunday night at 22.55 and two crews were still damping down the fire on Tuesday morning.

100 tonnes of recyclable waste and a diesel tanker set on fire at the industrial unit - at one point 10 crews including some specialist teams were dealing with it.

Now just one crew remain on site as heavy machinery is brought in to start to make the site safe for investigation work can begin.

Huge plumes of smoke were seen across Buckley during the fire prompting a warning from emergency services.
