Tributes to mum who died in car crash

The family of Joanne Hill who died in a road traffic collision at Padeswood in Flintshire on Saturday, February 26, have paid tribute to the “loving mother who lived for her kids.”

Speaking on behalf of the family, her sister Louise said Joanne, “lived for her kids, Nathan, 19 and Charlotte, 13. They meant everything to her. They were her life.

“She was a kind, gentle person, who liked gardening and reading. She was looking forward to getting out and doing the garden this spring. There is so much we could say about Joanne, but it’s too heartbreaking.  We will always remember her with love and affection.”

Joanne who was brought up in Mold, and attend Ysgol Maes Garmon, also leaves parents Gerald and Pamela from Bryn Garmon, Mold and a brother Jason who lives in Wrexham.


Two vehicles were involved in the collision at 8.20pm on Saturday February 26th - a silver Volvo and a red Vauxhall Corsa. Joanne Hill was a passenger in one of the vehicles.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call North Wales Police on 101.
