Two car crash into pub in Chester

Two cars have crashed into a pub in Chester, three people are in hospital with serious injuries.

Cheshire Police are investigating a serious road traffic collision in Chester on Sunday 1st July.

Police and other emergency services were called to the scene on Tarvin Rd at 6.37am. 

The collision involved two cars - a Vauxhall Astra and a BMW X5 which had collided with the Bridge Inn pub.

The male driver of the Astra, and a man and woman from the BMW were taken to the countess of Chester hospital where they are being treated for serious injuries .

The road was closed to traffic to allow scene examination to be carried out.

Nobody at the pub was hurt but due to extensive structural damage the premises will remain closed until appropriate examination and repairs are made.

Detectives are making enquiries to trace a fourth man in connection with the incident who was believed to have been travelling in one of the cars. This man may be in need of medical treatment given the severity of the collision. Police urge this man to make contact with Cheshire Police as a priority.
