Leeds 10k 2017
The Asda Foundation Leeds 10k is BACK for 2016 on Sunday 9th July
On your marks for the 2017 Asda Foundation Leeds 10K
Thousands of runners are expected on the start line for this year’s Asda Foundation Leeds 10K on Sunday 9th July.
The original Jane Tomlinson legacy event, it was launched in 2007 and is now well established as a firm favourite on the city’s sporting calendar.
Jane, who died shortly after the first Leeds 10K, made headlines around the world as she took on a series of gruelling challenges despite being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Her heroic efforts raised nearly £2m for charity.
Famed for its fun, friendliness and fantastic atmosphere, the run also boasts a flat, fast course with great pb potential.
All those taking part can look forward to chip timing, isotonic drinks, a packed goody bag, a medal and tech finisher’s T-shirt.
The event will raise tens of thousands of pounds for a host of good causes. This year’s partner charities are the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Macmillan Cancer Support, The Haven, Leeds Mencap, Sue Ryder, Martin House Children’s Hospice, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, St George’s Crypt, Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal and Brain Tumour Research and Support.
Its supporters and sponsors are Asda Foundation, Clarion, Leeds City Council, Yorkshire Evening Post, heart, TheBusinessDesk.com, Jon-Hammond.com, Up & Running, Viisana, Aftershokz, Arla Protein and bananakick.
