CCTV After Leeds' Nightclub Assault
Police have released CCTV images of three men they want to speak to after a man was seriously injured in an assault outside a Leeds nightclub yesterday.
The victim, a 21-year-old man from Bradford, received a serious head injury when he was punched to the ground by one of the men outside the Control nightclub at the Cardigan Fields retail park in Kirkstall Road.
Police were called to the scene at about 3.20am yesterday (8/2) and the man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment. He is in a stable condition following surgery and his injuries are not considered life threatening.
Detective Inspector Phil Jackson, of Leeds District CID, said: "We have recovered good quality CCTV footage which shows the incident in which the victim was punched.
It appears there was an altercation involving two groups of men outside the nightclub which has led to the victim being assaulted. "We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who recognises the three men shown in the CCTV images."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Constable Craig Mason at Elland Road via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
