Former Leeds Soldier On Fraud Charges.
A former soldier and fundraiser from Leeds has been charged with making false claims about post-traumatic stress disorder, cancer and military service.
Simon Buckden, 42, of Landseer Way, Bramley, is accused of seven counts of fraud relating to the alleged claims.
Buckden, who was arrested in August last year, will appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on March 18.
The charges relate to a period between October 14 2009 and December 31 2013.
A police spokesman said:
"A man from Leeds is due to appear in court charged with seven counts of fraud by false representation relating to alleged claims around post-traumatic stress disorder, cancer and military service.''
