House Fire In Sheffield

A man has died following a fire at a house in Sheffield.

Detectives investigating the death of a man at a property on Bluebell Close have released his name following formal identification and a post-mortem examination taking place.

Cy Cooper, 44, was pulled out of the address on Bluebell Close in the early hours of Wednesday, 29 July, following a fire at the property, but was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The results of the post-mortem examination determined the cause of Mr Cooper's death was multiple injuries, none of which were related to the fire.

A murder investigation has been launched by detectives and five people, four men and a woman, were initially arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 23-year-old man remains in police custody today being questioned by officers. The remaining four have been released from the investigation.
