Man Arrested Over Leeds Scout Group Abuse Claims

Police investigating historic allegations of child sexual abuse linked to a Leeds scout group are appealing for information.

Officers from Leeds Child Safeguarding Unit are investigating after receiving allegations from two men that they were sexually abused as children in the 1970s while members of Micklefield scout group.

A 75-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of child sexual offences and is currently on police bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Constable Laura Ireland, of Leeds Child Safeguarding Unit, said:

"Our investigation is ongoing and we would appeal for anyone who has any information that could assist the investigation to contact us immediately."
