Rotherham Man Charged With Child Sex Offences

A man's been charged in connection with alleged child abduction in Rotherham.

Vejuhadin Ghorbani, from the Clifton area of Rotherham, has been charged with causing or inciting a child under 16 to engage in sexual activity and child abduction.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Rotherham Magistrates' Court today.

Three girls, two aged 11 and one 13-year-old, were reported missing at 10.20pm on Saturday 6 September from the Rotherham area.

A large-scale search was launched for the girls, with significant resources deployed from across the force.

A man was arrested at his home address in the Clifton area shortly after the girls' safe return to their home address.

Police and other agencies are offering support to the girls and their families.

At this time, police do not believe there to be anyone else involved.
