Sheffield Brightside And Hillsborough By-Election Result

Gill Furniss has been declared the winner of the Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough by-election.

She's the new Labour MP after winning the majority of votes.

The count came in at 2.12am and the turnout was 22,581 down from 40,053 in the general election last year.

Gill takes over her from her husband Harry Harpham, who died earlier this year.

Leo Del Pellegrino Rapist Jailed at Sheffield Crown Court

A rapist who acted out his vile fantasies on a student he met through a dating app has been described as a "truly depraved individual'' and a "dangerous, perverted monster'' by police after he was jailed for 17 years.
