Sheffield Murder Victim Named

A 22-year-old woman who died following an incident in Sheffield yesterday (Tuesday 12 April) has been named by police.

Leigh-Anne Mahachi was stabbed during an incident in Spotswood Close, Gleadless Valley, at around 8.15am.

Leigh-Anne, who was living at an address in Spotswood Close at the time of her death, was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

A post-mortem examination was carried out last night (Tuesday 12 April) and found that she died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

A 37-year-old man, from the Colchester area, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and continues to be interviewed by detectives.
