A 35-year-old man who attacked a woman police officer with an axe, leaving her with a fractured skull and a finger hanging off, has been cleared of attempted murder.
Teenager Named After Fatal Swallownest Crash
A 16-year-old boy who died in a collision in Swallownest on Friday night has now been named.
Joshua Tyler, from Sheffield, was riding a red Peugeot Speedfighter moped along Mansfield Road, Swallownest, thought to be travelling away from Swallownest centre, on Friday 17 April.
At around 10.20pm, the moped and a blue Citroen C3 were in collision near to the junction with Florence Avenue.
Joshua sustained fatal injuries.
Officers continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision. Please call 101 quoting incident number 1246 of 17 April 2015.
