Hearts guide to the best places to watch the Tour de Yorkshire

Soak up the atmosphere with all the family entertainment planned across the route. Catch a glimpse of the race as it passes through our picturesque Yorkshire towns and villages.
The men's Tour de Yorkshire competition will take place every day from Thursday to Sunday; while the Asda Women's race will be held in the mornings of Friday and Saturday.
Stage 1 | Doncaster to Selby | Thursday 2nd May
The tour kicks off in Doncaster at 1pm before heading to the riversider town of Selby.
The first intermediate spring of the race will take place shortly before the peloton arrives in Beverley, in Elloughton, at around 2.59pm.
The atmosphere is sure to be electric at the start and finish line!
Stage 2 | Barnsley to Bedale | Friday 3rd May
Barnsley sees a jam packed entertainment programme in the town centre before the race kicks off!
The riders will take on the Côte de Lindley climb at 4.25pm before the circuit of Emma's home town of Harrogate and second sprint at 4.45pm.
Then onto finish in Bedale for 5.45pm with a massive party to celebrate – with big screens, food and drink stalls and live music in the build up, during and after the event.
Stage 3 | Bridlington to Scarborough | Saturday 4th April
the riders head directly into the North York Moors National Park. The Cote de Silpho is looming large shortly after Hackness and is the first of the day’s five categorised climbs.
Hey Coffee in Scarborough has lots of space for a Tour de Yorkshire picnic with views of the race!
Stage 4 | Halifax to Leeds | Sunday 5th May
Head to the stunning Piece Hall in Halifax for the Final Stage start. There will be a bucket full of family entertainment & workshops.
Catch the race as it goes through Hebden Bridge for the CÔTE DE HEBDEN BRIDGE before heading to Haworth, up to Skipton before looping back through Pateley Bridge towards Otley for a Leeds finish.
