An investigation is underway into the theft of four lorries from a haulage firm which is believed to have happened in the early hours of this morning.

The theft was reported at 6am by staff at G Moore Haulage in Manor Road, Kempston Hardwick. Three tipper trucks and one skip loader were taken believed to be worth around £100,000, and while the keys for the vehicles were left behind, a quantity of red diesel was stolen and attempts to steal other vehicles were also made.

The registration numbers of the three blue and blue and white tipper trucks stolen are KX03 KPZ, KX03 KPT, KX54 NVE and a skip loader CN05 FHH.

DC Martyn Hynes, investigating said: “If anyone sees these vehicles on the road please contact the police. The offenders manage to start the vehicles without the use of the keys, which were left behind. Their intentions were clearly to take more vehicles but for some reason they didn’t. If anyone has information about who is responsible for these thefts then please contact the police in confidence.”

If you have information relating to this incident, contact DC Hynes in confidence, on the non emergency number 101, or text information to 07786 200011.
