Fake Crash Staged for Youngsters

7 August 2010, 06:00

Some of our region's emergency services have been trying to cut the number of young people being killed in road accidents - by showing them what it's like to be cut out of a car.

Police, fire and ambulance crews staged a mocked-up crash scene at Bedford fire station for a group of four -to - eleven year olds

They're trying to get the message across before they get their licence ... as figures show a third of all those killed or seriously hurt on the roads in Central Beds are aged between 17 and 24.
