Man Dies After Being Hit By Train

Police have named the man who died after being hit by a train in Bedfordshire on Friday 15 April 2011.

Jamie Reynolds, 22, from Pegasus Court, Shortmead Street, Biggleswade, suffered multiple injuries near Sandy.  An inquest has been opened and adjourned.  Jamie's death isn't being treated as suspicious.

British Transport Police (BTP) told Heart:

"BTP officers were called to the line near to Lindells level crossing after a report of a man being struck by a train.

"BTP and Bedfordshire Police officers attended the incident, reported at 2.08pm and is currently being treated as non-suspicious."

Emergency services arrived at the scene close to the Lindells Road level crossing after 13:35 East Coast inter-city from Kings Cross struck the man, as the train was travelling towards Leeds.
